The Octalysis Group has appointed Rob Alvarez as Head of Engagement Strategy Europe. In this role, he will lead the expansion of gamification and behavioral design solutions across European markets for clients in business, education, and beyond.
Alvarez is widely recognized for applying game-inspired systems to motivation and business growth through the Professor Game Podcast, his TEDx talks, consulting work, and his faculty role at IE Business School, ranked among the top global MBA programs by the Financial Times. As host of the Professor Game Podcast, consistently ranked the leading gamification podcast by Feedspot, he has interviewed hundreds of practitioners in gamification, game design, and behavioral strategy.
His work with institutions including the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), IE Business School, and EBS University focuses on hands-on workshops in gamification, behavioral design, and LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodologies, sessions that help executives and educators turn theory into measurable programs.
Alvarez brings more than a decade of experience as an Octalysis practitioner, applying the Octalysis Framework created by founder Yu-kai Chou. His track record includes designing systems that increase user engagement, support productivity, and drive behavioral change across sectors.
